Erdoğan points to year-end for decline in inflation: 'At the cost of pushing the limits...'

President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed citizens at his party's rally in Denizli.

Highlights from Erdoğan's statements are as follows:

CRITICIZED THE OPPOSITION

"We will strive to explain our dreams and goals for our country much more effectively. We will also embrace with affection those who have lost hope in the opposition, especially the CHP. We will definitely reach the place we deserve in Denizli. I believe that Denizli will not leave us alone either. You see the tragicomic state of the opposition, don't you? They are in a state worse than a cockfight among themselves. Even a cockfight has a certain decorum, but you cannot even see that in the opposition's infighting. They do not have the slightest concern for creating works for the country or serving the nation. Their only purpose for existence in politics is to protect their own interests.

"WE BROUGHT OUR KAAN TO THE SKY"

We are one of the 10 countries that build warships. Now our latest, KAAN, has emerged. We brought our KAAN to the sky. Our 5th-generation fighter jet KAAN successfully performed its first flight. With yesterday's test, KAAN crossed another very critical threshold. We plan for KAAN to join our air forces by the end of 2028. They called it a radiator, a broomstick. Let some underestimate Turkey's potential. We will definitely not pay attention to them. I leave the former politicians who did not say a single word about our historic success yesterday to our nation. Their falling into a deep silence is exemplary. They became the chairmen of the country's main opposition party in Turkey, but they could not learn how to be a local and national opposition. They rented an apartment in Ankara and are doing politics there. They could not learn to look in the same direction as the nation.

MESSAGE ON INFLATION

Inflation is a headache not only for us, but for the whole world after the pandemic. Our nation is the closest witness to the sincere struggle we have waged to ensure our employees and retirees are not crushed by inflation. We are not turning a deaf ear to the complaints of any of our people. We continue to meet the demands of our citizens at the cost of pushing the limits of the budget. We will take a deep breath as inflation begins to fall rapidly towards the end of this year."
