Erdoğan's remarks on the terror commission: We will not fall into the trap, we will not sacrifice the process we have woven stitch by stitch

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made statements at the 300,000th Disaster Housing Lottery, Key Delivery, and Collective Opening Ceremony for Completed Investments.

Highlights from President Erdoğan's statements are as follows:

"I greet you all with longing and affection. I send my greetings and love to every one of our brothers and sisters in the 13 districts of our Malatya.

At the very beginning of my speech, I congratulate our A National Women's Volleyball Team, which reached the final in the World Championship, and our A National Men's Basketball Team, which reached the quarterfinals. I also wish our A National Football Team success in the match against Spain.

MALATYA HAS A VERY EXCEPTIONAL PLACE FOR US

Today, we are experiencing the excitement of officially opening our new investments. I wish them to be beneficial to my brothers and sisters in Malatya and other provinces. I would like to thank the people of Malatya, who embraced us, one by one. Malatya is one of the most popular provinces in both Turkey and its region. It has a very, very exceptional place for us.

Unfortunately, Malatya was one of the provinces most affected by the February 6 earthquakes. I once again pray for God's mercy upon our earthquake martyrs. I wish patience to my brothers and sisters who were left behind. May the Almighty not make us experience such pain again.

WE REMOVED THE DEBRIS AND HEALED THE WOUNDS IN A SHORT TIME

All institutions of our state worked 24/7. In a short time, we removed the debris, healed the wounds, and succeeded in reviving hopes. I know that the AK Youth is behind me like Mount Beydağı. You see what has been done and the effort put in. We are in a sincere effort to keep the promises we made to you.

Today, we are handing over the keys to our 300,000th house. Today, we are also proud to be opening our new investments. I hope that every citizen who is a right holder will live in these homes with peace of mind. I thank every one of my brothers and sisters who contributed to the construction of these houses, from the architect to the worker. WE DID NOT WASTE THE FAVOR SHOWN TO US

Malatya is one of the most popular centers in both Turkey and its region. Every time we come here, we are practically reunited with a loved one. We are in the land of Battal Gazi. As always, I would like to thank the people of Malatya, who embraced us again, one by one. Just as a lover is happy when they meet their beloved, we are happy too. No matter what the conditions have been until today, we have never neglected Malatya. We did not waste the favor shown to us. We served the people of Malatya with love. From now on, we will continue to work for you with the same passion. There are 52 thousand people in the field today.

We are burying 53 thousand 737 of our souls in the bosom of the black earth in 11 of our provinces with our hearts bleeding. I once again wish God's mercy upon our earthquake martyrs. I pray to the Almighty for patience for those left behind.

2 OUT OF 3 ELIGIBLE CITIZENS HAVE REACHED THEIR NEW HOMES

The pain and suffering of February 6 became our concern. We felt this in the deepest part of our hearts. This trouble taught us to start over. We said we would rebuild our cities by joining hands with our nation. All institutions of our state worked 24/7. We removed the debris in a short time. We succeeded in reviving hopes from scratch.

TODAY WE ARE DELIVERING THE KEYS TO THE 300,000TH HOUSE

You see what has been done and the effort put forth. We are happy to keep the promises we made in the squares. In June, we had given the 250,000th house to our earthquake-affected brothers and sisters. Most of the keys have been delivered to the right holders. Our work continues at full speed. Today, we are delivering the keys to the 300,000th house in Malatya. We are once again disappointing the 'earthquake tourists' who were waiting to see when the government would collapse under this rubble. I would like to express with pride: As of today, we have brought 2 out of every 3 eligible citizens in the earthquake zone to their new homes.

With today's ceremony, we are drawing lots for a total of 9 thousand 39 houses in the city and district centers. Thus, 43 thousand 408 right holders in Malatya are receiving the keys to their homes. Work continues in our other cities. Thus, by exceeding the 300,000 threshold, we are giving more than 304 thousand homes and workplaces, 295 thousand 929 of which are houses, to our citizens. Hopefully, we want to complete 453 thousand independent units by the end of the year. We will work until there is not a single citizen left who has not reached a new home and workplace.

WE WILL MAKE PAYMENTS TO OUR PRODUCERS WITHOUT INSURANCE

Today, we are also opening 41 new investments. With these investments, which total 5 billion 940 million, we are giving Malatya a new face. We are offering these services and facilities that touch the lives of the people of Malatya to your service. I wish these works to be beneficial once again. I sincerely congratulate our ministries, our metropolitan municipality, and other institutions that contributed to these investments. We experienced a frost event in April. It also damaged apricot production in Malatya. We made the 3.1 billion lira payments for those who had agricultural insurance. We will make the 3.8 billion lira payments for our producers who do not have insurance. Best of luck.

'TERROR-FREE TURKEY' PROCESS

Our agenda only includes serving the country. It includes bringing you to your safe homes. It includes Malatya and other provinces receiving the investments they deserve. It includes getting rid of the scourge of terror forever. We are working with patience, sincerity, and composure. As we approach the goal, the intensity of the attacks has also started to increase. On one hand, they are trying to disturb our martyrs' and veterans' relatives with baseless news. There is no question of closing the headman offices (muhtarlıklar).

They are provoking and supporting the organization's extensions in Syria. They are mobilizing all the apparatuses under their control. Their goal is clear, and that is to slow down the process that is moving forward. There is one thing they do not know. We are very, very well-trained. With God's permission, we will not fall into the trap they are trying to set. We will not sacrifice the process we have woven stitch by stitch. Enough is enough. The barons of war and terror will not reach their goals."
