Erdoğan's 'Newborn Gang' message ends with harsh jabs at CHP: 'An incompetent with no success'

AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan made a statement on his social media account regarding current developments. In his post, where he provided information about the 'Newborn Gang' investigation, Erdoğan also launched harsh criticisms against the former and current leaders of the CHP.

President Erdoğan included the following statements in his post on his social media account:

A gang operation that has deeply shaken, saddened, and distressed us all, and which bleeds the conscience of every human being, has been on the agenda in recent days.

As President, I will continue to personally follow this matter so that these monsters who toyed with the lives of innocent babies never see the light of day again.

Although this gang operation has only recently come to the country's agenda, the investigation dates back 1.5 years.

As a result of the meticulous investigation conducted, an operation was carried out against the gang members, and their ringleaders were arrested.

Of the 47 suspects within the scope of the file, 22 are currently in prison.

While these events were unfolding in the judicial dimension of the investigation, our Ministry of Health closed one hospital in Tekirdağ, and the licenses of 9 hospitals in Istanbul were revoked.

In other words, whoever caused the loss of life of 12 innocent infants, and whichever health institution was involved, judicial and administrative actions are being taken against them all without delay.

Under these circumstances, it is a great lack of awareness on behalf of our country's politics and press for the opposition and opposition media to join hands with the Medical Association—which slandered the Turkish army by claiming it 'used chemical weapons'—and shamelessly target us, our ministries, our health system, and even our entire healthcare workforce.

Engaging in politics over the funerals of innocent babies and the pain of their families is nothing but a paralysis of conscience.

I leave it to the wisdom and discernment of our noble nation that those who are nowhere to be found in the race to serve the citizens are in the front ranks when it comes to slander, defamation, distortion, and insults.

As for the insults hurled on social media by an incompetent person who has no success in his bureaucratic career other than bankrupting the SSK (Social Security Institution), I return them to him in kind.

The last person in this country to speak about health services is the ousted leader of the CHP, Kılıçdaroğlu. Not only the former leader of the CHP but also its new leader cannot lecture us on this matter.

Those who were incapable of even building the connecting roads to the Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital while the nation was struggling with the coronavirus pandemic should, if they have any sense of shame, remain silent during this process.

No one can cast aspersions on our health army, where approximately 1.5 million people work—including doctors, nurses, midwives, patient caregivers, technicians, assistants, and professors—because of a handful of dishonorable individuals.

This gang, which includes sympathizers of the separatist terrorist organization, committed such a vile atrocity by exploiting the facilities provided by our state to offer higher quality and more accessible health services to our citizens.

Our state has also taken action from the very first moment and has taken every necessary step.

Those who committed such barbarity will be held accountable for their crimes in the most severe manner before the law.
