Erdoğan signs: Independence Medals to be awarded to the heirs of 6 soldiers who fought in the War of Independence
A presidential decree regarding the awarding of the Independence Medal to the heirs of 6 martyrs and veterans whose services in the War of Independence have been verified has been published in the Official Gazette.

The Independence Medal will be awarded to the heirs of 6 soldiers who participated in the War of Independence.
In the decree published with the signature of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the list of names of 6 martyrs and veterans whose services in the War of Independence were verified and who were decided to be awarded the Independence Medal, along with their heirs, was included in accordance with the Independence Medal Law.
According to the decree, the names of the martyrs and veterans to be awarded the Independence Medal and their heirs are as follows:
