Erdoğan signs, Kyrgyzstan's $62 million debt written off: Japarov expresses thanks

Kyrgyz President Japarov and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a joint press conference at the Presidential Palace following the signing ceremony of agreements between the two countries.

President Japarov thanked President Erdoğan for his decision to write off Kyrgyzstan's debt to Turkey. According to claims by the Kyrgyz News Agency, the amount of debt written off by Erdoğan was stated as 62.3 million dollars.

Japarov also noted that an agreement had been reached to renew the protocols that allow Kyrgyz citizens to receive free medical treatment in Turkey.

ERDOĞAN GIFTS TOGG TO JAPAROV, JAPAROV GIFTS HORSE TO ERDOĞAN

Following the meetings and the signing ceremony, Erdoğan gifted a "Pamukkale white" colored Togg to Japarov.

A horse was gifted to Erdoğan by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov.

Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov announced that the strategic partnership relations between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey have been elevated to the level of a "Comprehensive Strategic Partnership."

Japarov said, "I am happy to announce that we have taken an important decision to elevate the strategic partnership relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Turkey to the level of a 'Comprehensive Strategic Partnership'."

Stating that they successfully held the 6th Meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey, Japarov noted that they welcomed the results of the bilateral negotiations at this meeting with great satisfaction.

Japarov noted that current agenda items such as politics, economy and trade, education, culture, and humanitarian cooperation, as well as interaction in the military field, were discussed at the meeting.

JAPAROV THANKED ERDOĞAN FOR THE WRITTEN-OFF DEBT

President Japarov thanked President Erdoğan for his decision to write off Kyrgyzstan's debt to Turkey.

Touching upon educational cooperation between Turkey and Kyrgyzstan, Japarov announced that an agreement had been reached to expand the Maarif Foundation school network across all regions of Kyrgyzstan.

Reiterating their determination to provide political support and protection for investments, Japarov said, "Turkey has been one of Kyrgyzstan's most important trade and investment partners for many years. Kyrgyzstan is determined to further improve conditions for domestic and foreign investors."

Stating that Kyrgyz-Turkish cooperation is actively developing in the military-technical and defense fields, Japarov emphasized that the potential in these areas is high.

Kyrgyzstan requested Turkey to establish hospitals across the country

Kyrgyz President Japarov stated that they would continue cooperation with Turkey in the field of health, and said the following:

"We appreciate the work of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship State Hospital, which bears the name of our esteemed President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. We have proposed evaluating the possibility of implementing additional projects aimed at creating similar modern medical institutions in other regions of Kyrgyzstan. On this occasion, I would like to emphasize that this hospital, equipped with modern technology and staffed by highly qualified personnel, has successfully performed complex operations, including organ transplants."

KYRGYZ CITIZENS WILL CONTINUE TO RECEIVE FREE TREATMENT IN TURKEY

Japarov noted that an agreement had been reached to renew the protocols that allow Kyrgyz citizens to receive free medical treatment in Turkey.

Drawing attention to the importance of the documents signed between the two countries, Japarov added that as a result of the negotiations, bilateral agreements covering a wide range of areas including health, energy, economy and finance, agriculture, digitalization, security, culture, and many other important fields were signed.
