Highlights from Erdoğan's remarks:

I thank my dear friend, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, for his hospitality and invitation, and I congratulate him on his successful hosting. I wish success in advance to our Brazilian friends who will assume the term presidency as of January.

TERRORIST ATTACK ON TUSAŞ

I thank all our friends who have conveyed their condolences regarding the heinous terrorist act carried out in Ankara yesterday for the solidarity they have shown. This vile attack has further reinforced Turkey's resolve and determination to eliminate terrorism.

We are facing serious challenges whose effects are felt in every field, from the economy to security, from global injustices to climate change. For this reason, we find the theme of the summit, 'Strengthening Multilateralism for Fair Global Development and Security,' to be extremely appropriate. I would like to emphasize this point carefully. In today's conditions, where socioeconomic vulnerabilities are increasing and power balances are shifting, the political and financial mechanisms that are products of the post-World War II era are failing to deliver what is expected of them.

As Turkey, we act in such an environment with the motto, 'A fairer world is possible.' We attach importance to coming together with our friends on multilateral platforms and finding solutions to common problems that concern us all through collective wisdom. We believe that BRICS makes unique contributions to the construction of a fairer global order by serving the development of global trade, economic growth, and sustainable development goals.

Turkey is a founding member of many international organizations, from the Council of Europe to the Organization of Turkic States, as well as regional organizations such as the Developing-8 (D-8), the Economic Cooperation Organization, and the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization. We are also an active member of the G20 and MIKTA.

In addition to our partnerships with the African Union and ASEAN, our cooperation mechanisms with the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States are developing further every day. As Turkey, we are determined to advance our dialogue with the BRICS family, with whom we have developed close relations based on mutual respect and a win-win approach.

CALL FOR ARMS EMBARGO ON ISRAEL

A fair global order and development can only be possible with the establishment of peace and security beyond our borders. As long as the bloodshed in the Middle East is not stopped, one cannot speak of justice, peace, or development for the future. Israel's aggressive stance, which it maintains at the cost of setting the entire region on fire, has long since crossed all boundaries, especially those of law and conscience.

The Palestinian people are being subjected to genocide in Gaza. Israel has taken its cruelty even further by attacking Lebanon as well. Ignoring this humanitarian tragedy unfolding in the 21st century cannot absolve anyone of responsibility. The establishment of an independent, sovereign, and geographically integrated Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the 1967 borders, is a prerequisite for a lasting and fair peace in the region.

On this occasion, I invite countries that do not recognize Palestine to take steps in this direction. The continued unconditional support of arms and ammunition to Israel makes this country even more reckless in its attacks. We have initiated an effort at the United Nations to stop arms sales to Israel. I trust in the support that you, my dear friends, will provide in this regard. I say let us stop the massacres and tears in our geography as soon as possible by joining hands together.

With these thoughts, as I conclude my words, I greet you all with respect once again. I wish for our meeting to be auspicious for humanity and thank everyone who contributed to the organization of the summit.
