Erdoğan speaks with Trump by phone

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone conversation with US President-elect Donald Trump. During the call, Erdoğan expressed his wishes for developing cooperation between Turkey and the US in the new term.

Erdoğan called the 47th President-elect of the United States, Donald Trump, to congratulate him.

The statement issued by the Directorate of Communications included the following:

"Our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, held a phone conversation with the President-elect of the United States, Donald Trump.

During the conversation, President Erdoğan congratulated Trump on his election victory.

President Erdoğan expressed his wishes for developing cooperation between Turkey and the US in the new term."
