Erdoğan to visit Egypt tomorrow

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will travel to Egypt tomorrow to attend the 11th Summit of the Developing Eight (D-8) Organization. The summit will focus on the theme of "Investing in Youth and Supporting SMEs." Erdoğan will also participate in a special session on Palestine and Lebanon.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will travel to Egypt on Thursday, December 19, to attend the 11th Summit of the Developing Eight (D-8) Organization.

The announcement regarding Erdoğan's visit to Egypt was made by the Presidency's Director of Communications, Fahrettin Altun.

In his announcement on social media, Altun stated, "Our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, will visit Egypt on Thursday, December 19, 2024, to attend the 11th Summit of the Developing Eight (D-8) Organization. Our President will address the Summit, which will be held under the theme 'Investing in Youth and Supporting SMEs: Shaping Tomorrow's Economy,' and will participate in a Special Session regarding the situation in Palestine and Lebanon. Our President, who will also hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts attending the Summit, will exchange views with heads of state and government on current global and regional issues, primarily Syria and Palestine."

In addition to Turkey, the D-8 includes Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, and Pakistan.
