Erdoğan warns cabinet and party organization at AKP MKYK: 'Those who remain indifferent will pay the price'

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan presided over his party's MKYK meeting. 

It was learned that Erdoğan issued warnings to the cabinet and the party organization during the critical meeting.

According to a report by the pro-government newspaper Türkiye Gazetesi, Erdoğan emphasized that demands from the field must be taken into account, stating, "Our job is to serve and to answer the questions conveyed by politicians from the field. What is conveyed to you from the field cannot be ignored."

It was also reported that Erdoğan said, "Those in authority will take politics seriously. Demands conveyed by politicians on behalf of citizens will not be met with indifference. Everyone will do their job with merit and loyalty. Those who remain indifferent will pay the price."

PREPARATIONS FOR THE NEW PROCESS WERE ON THE TABLE

The meeting also addressed the second opening process, referred to as "Terror-free Turkey." It was learned that Erdoğan stated that preparations as the People's Alliance (Cumhur İttifakı) have been completed, adding, "We want to initiate the legal process soon and accelerate it. Support from other political parties will also strengthen the process."

"IBAN VICTIM" DEBATE BROUGHT TO THE AGENDA

The issue known in the public eye as "IBAN victims" was also evaluated during the MKYK meeting. While it was stated that some MKYK members expressed opinions in favor of resolving the grievances, it was noted that AKP Group Chairman Abdullah Güler said, "There is no such thing as an 'IBAN victim.' The victim here is the person whose money was stolen. Those who let their accounts be used are not victims, but individuals who are complicit in a crime."

EVALUATION REGARDING BYD'S INVESTMENT IN TURKEY

It was also reported that Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır provided information during the meeting regarding the investment of the China-based automotive company BYD in Turkey.

It was learned that Kacır stated that the cancellation decision in the investment process did not originate from Turkey, and that the development was linked to the internal policy preferences of the Chinese administration.
