Striking statement on the 'opening' process from Erdoğan's chief advisor Uçum: 'It cannot be managed with routine approaches'

Mehmet Uçum, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Legal Policies Board, emphasized that the transition process toward Turkey's goal of a "Terror-Free Turkey" cannot be managed with routine methods. Uçum stated that the process involves complex dynamics specific to a transition, and therefore the state is taking multi-probability measures.

Mehmet Uçum, chief advisor to AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, stated that the new opening process, which the government calls a "Terror-Free Turkey," is a period characterized by transition where routine methods are insufficient. Uçum argued that the work of the TBMM (Grand National Assembly of Turkey) Commission should not be overshadowed by current political debates. 

Uçum claimed that many current issues in Turkey will naturally find solutions alongside the "Terror-Free Turkey" process. Furthermore, he argued that the conditions for the strong and comprehensive implementation of the "Century of Turkey reform program" will be formed along with this transition period.

THE GOAL OF A TERROR-FREE TURKEY AND THE DYNAMICS OF THE TRANSITION PERIOD!

We are going through a period where the world is being turned upside down and experiencing crises. 

In economic processes, the national, regional, and global crises of capitalism have become constant. 

Problems regarding national and international political systems are becoming increasingly chronic rather than being solved. Legal processes in international relations are losing their effectiveness. 

The Palestine/Gaza genocide has registered the collapse of the entire international system. The world appears almost paralyzed against Zionist aggression and brutality. There is no meaningful effort other than the efforts of Turkey under the leadership of President Erdoğan. 

Societies everywhere in the world have entered a struggle for existence. 

Power wars are now being waged openly without even needing the covers of diplomacy or law.

There is no institution, norm, or value that is trustworthy and binding for the international community.

We live in a world where faith, law, conscience, morality, and all kinds of human values are exploited or even abandoned. We see the most vulgar forms of these in daily life as well.

In this course of events, either ways will be found for the world to be restructured in a more just manner, or humanity will continue to be dragged into a darkness dominated by chaos.

It is precisely at this point that the historic steps Turkey is taking regarding the radical elimination of terror carry great importance. With the emphasis of President Erdoğan, a "Terror-Free Turkey is being built step by step". 

The National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission established within the TBMM is also one of the historic steps in this regard.

The construction process of a Terror-Free Turkey is a transition process. Of course, the transition process does not proceed without problems, and it can be foreseen that various problems will arise from now on as well. There are centers trying to carry out operational and intellectual sabotage from both outside and inside. It is understood that the State is taking multi-probability measures against these.

Due to the unique characteristics and dynamics of transition processes, some problematic groups seek opportunities. During this transition period to a Terror-Free Turkey that we are in, it is observed that various illegitimate centers, small interest groups, digital criminal organizations, and those with anti-country special political agendas see this as an opportunity and become active. Such harmful structures and relationships are also suitable for use by foreign intelligence agencies. However, the true colors of such opportunistic and value-deprived individuals and groups are revealed early, and they are eliminated step by step as the process progresses. In any case, all kinds of measures are taken regarding them.

What is truly important is to manage the process by knowing that this transition period is an extraordinary period. In extraordinary periods, the approaches used in routine times are not enough, and they are often not correct either. For this reason, it is not appropriate, both in terms of method and the essence of the matter, for some groups in the Commission to handle the issue through current politics and to put current issues ahead of general needs. Let it not be forgotten that many current issues in Turkey today encompass matters that will be resolved with the transition to a Terror-Free Turkey. 

The conditions for the realization of the "Century of Turkey reform program" at a much stronger and much more comprehensive level are fully provided with the transition to a Terror-Free Turkey. This historic opportunity should not be squandered on current issues that will disappear from the agenda or lose their meaning in the future, or on demands that are contrary to Turkey's objective reality and red lines.

The essential thing is to prepare Turkey for the great reform program that President Erdoğan speaks of. The perspective of democracy and law on which the Commission will reach a general consensus will make a great contribution to the reform process. The constructive approaches that the Commission will put forward for the stage where the "reform program aiming for more democracy, more freedom, and a more effective state" will be implemented can be a very important foundation.  

To end with the words of our President Erdoğan; "Even if our political views, lifestyles, origins, and ideas are different, we are all the original owners of the Republic of Turkey, we are members of the same household."
