Oktay Saral, chief advisor to AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, made a post on his social media account.

Saral, who recently drew backlash after openly targeting journalist Fatih Altaylı, leading to his arrest, had Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy in his sights this time.

Reacting harshly to Minister Ersoy over the 'Culture Road Festival' organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Saral stated the following:

"While children in Gaza are still struggling for their lives, while mothers are sending their children to the grave before they can even hold them in their arms, while the blood of our 12 martyrs, our heroes whom we laid to rest in the black earth for the sake of the homeland, has not yet dried, and while their mothers' tears have not yet ceased," Saral began, addressing Mehmet Nuri Ersoy directly with the following remarks:

"While the heart of this nation is burning, how could you smile? Is the pain of mothers whose tears have not dried and of the families of martyrs so worthless in your eyes? What a great insensitivity this is, what a great disconnection from the spirit of the nation!"

Saral's X post is as follows:

"Dear Minister of Culture and Tourism,

While children in Gaza are still struggling for their lives, while mothers are sending their children to the grave before they can even hold them in their arms, while the blood of our 12 martyrs, our heroes whom we laid to rest in the black earth for the sake of the homeland, has not yet dried, and while their mothers' tears have not yet ceased. While you were setting up stages in Trabzon under the name of the 'Culture Road Festival' and organizing entertainment with songs and dances, did your heart not feel troubled at all!? Did your conscience not ache at all?

While the heart of this nation is burning, how could you smile? Is the pain of mothers whose tears have not dried and of the families of martyrs so worthless in your eyes? What a great insensitivity this is, what a great disconnection from the spirit of the nation!

While the children of this nation are giving their lives, what was expected of you was not music, not entertainment; it was a dignified stance! The lights shining on the stages while our nation's heart is bleeding will remain as a black stain on consciences! And know this, our people who have witnessed this insensitivity of yours are in a state of outrage!"
