AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has made a statement regarding the establishment of a ceasefire in Gaza.
In a post on his social media account, Erdoğan stated, "We welcome the fact that the ceasefire negotiations between the Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas and Israel have resulted in an agreement."
Erdoğan noted the following in his message:
"We welcome the fact that the ceasefire negotiations between the Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas and Israel have resulted in an agreement. We hope that this agreement will be beneficial for our Palestinian brothers and sisters in particular, as well as for our region and all of humanity, and that it will pave the way for lasting peace and stability. We respectfully salute the heroic people of Gaza and their brave children who have courageously defended their lands and freedom in the face of Israel's unlawful and inhumane attacks.
As Turkey, we have not left our Palestinian brothers and sisters alone for a single moment in their struggle against oppression and the oppressor. Hopefully, we will continue to stand by the people of Gaza from now on, and we will mobilize all our resources to help Gaza heal its wounds and get back on its feet. On this occasion, I commemorate with mercy all our martyrs who watered the lands of Gaza with their blessed blood, and I pray to my Lord that the ceasefire agreement will be auspicious."
