President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan shared an official message for the 107th anniversary of Atatürk's arrival in Samsun, which is considered the beginning of the War of Independence, and for the May 19 Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day.

In his statement, which included photos taken with young people posted on his social media account, Erdoğan included the following expressions:

"I congratulate all our young people on the May 19 Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day; I send my greetings and love to all our young people living in our country and abroad. I respectfully commemorate Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the commander-in-chief of the National Struggle, his comrades-in-arms, and the heroic members of our military, the 'Hearth of the Prophet.' I remember our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for our nation with mercy, and I wish our veterans a blessed and healthy life."
