Towards the end of his speech, Erdoğan, who was saying, "We are reading the messages our nation gave at the ballot box in all their dimensions and analyzing them down to the finest detail," experienced a brief interruption in his speech when the teleprompter he was reading from malfunctioned.

Erdoğan later completed his speech by saying, "I expect you to never fall into despair, not to fall into discord, and to be vigilant against the centers of sedition trying to sow discord among us. May the Almighty make our unity, togetherness, and brotherhood permanent."
