Esenyurt DEM Party district co-chairs arrested

Esenyurt DEM Party district co-chairs Abdullah Arınan and Rojda Yılmaz have been arrested on charges of "making propaganda for a terrorist organization" and "being a member of an armed terrorist organization."

On Monday, November 18, Esenyurt DEM Party District Co-Chairs Abdullah Arınan and Rojda Yılmaz were detained by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office as part of an investigation into 'deciphering the activities of the PKK armed terrorist organization.'

Arınan and Yılmaz were referred to court today with a request for their arrest.

According to the final decision, Abdullah Arınan and Rojda Yılmaz were referred for arrest on charges of 'being a member of an armed terrorist organization' and 'making propaganda for a terrorist organization.'

"THE GOVERNMENT, WHICH IS CRIMINALIZING OUR PARTY, HAS COMMITTED A CRIME"

In a statement regarding the matter, the DEM Party noted that police teams broke down the building's door to conduct a search, stating, "The government, which is trying to criminalize our party with these attacks, has committed a crime. Our democratic struggle against the government, which feeds on deadlock and attacks, will continue in every field."

ARINAN AND YILMAZ ARRESTED

Esenyurt DEM Party District Co-Chairs Abdullah Arınan and Rojda Yılmaz were arrested by the court they were brought before on charges of "making propaganda for a terrorist organization" and "being a member of an armed terrorist organization."
