Evacuees from Lebanon arrive in the country
Evacuation efforts for Turkish citizens in Lebanon are ongoing. 169 Turkish citizens who wished to leave Lebanon have been brought to Turkey from Beirut.

Following Israel's occupation of Gaza and its subsequent bombing of Lebanon, the evacuation of Turkish citizens in Lebanon has begun. Most recently, 169 Turkish citizens were brought to Istanbul.
169 Turkish citizens were brought to the country today via a chartered flight. The private plane arriving from Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, first landed at Çukurova Airport. After dropping off 110 passengers there, the plane then arrived at Istanbul Airport with its remaining 59 passengers.
Turkish citizens arriving from Lebanon shared their experiences. A Turkish citizen living in Lebanon who did not wish to be named stated, "You are likely following it on television; we were inside it at that point. I was working as a civil servant."
Another passenger who said that living in Lebanon is difficult stated, "It is very difficult to live in Lebanon. I have come to Istanbul. I live in Başakşehir in Istanbul."
