Ex-officio investigation launched into singer Tuğba Ekinci

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an ex-officio investigation into singer Tuğba Ekinci due to remarks she made during a speech at an awards ceremony, following a video that appeared on social media.

It has been learned that, within the scope of the investigation launched for 'inciting the public to hatred and hostility or insulting' in order to uncover the material truth, a letter has been written to the Istanbul Police Department to obtain the full recording of the speech and have it transcribed.
