Ex-wife married his brother: Man who appeared on television program found dead in his garden

Ayhan Sarıkaya (46), who drew public attention last year by appearing on a television program after his ex-wife married his brother, was stabbed to death in the garden of his home in Erzincan.

The incident occurred in Soğukoluk village, approximately 15 kilometers from the center of Erzincan. Neighbors who saw Sarıkaya lying motionless in his garden immediately reported the situation to the gendarmerie and medical teams.

Following an examination by medical teams, it was determined that Ayhan Sarıkaya had died from stab wounds. After the public prosecutor's investigation at the scene, Sarıkaya's body was taken to Mengücek Gazi Training and Research Hospital for an autopsy.

INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED

The prosecutor's office has launched a comprehensive investigation into Sarıkaya's death. Teams are evaluating all possibilities regarding the incident and are also interviewing eyewitnesses.

HAD APPEARED ON A TELEVISION PROGRAM

Ayhan Sarıkaya had appeared on a television program last year, claiming that his ex-wife was not letting him see his children, and had recounted his experiences there. His ex-wife, who connected to the live broadcast, had alleged that she had an arranged marriage with Sarıkaya, that she was subjected to violence throughout the marriage, that Sarıkaya had been in and out of prison, and that he did not take care of their children. The ex-wife had subsequently married Sarıkaya's brother and started a new life.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
