An explosion occurred at a transformer in the Electricity Generation Center of the Gökçekaya Hydroelectric Power Plant, one of the major hydroelectric generation facilities located in Eskişehir. In the fire that broke out due to the explosion, 15 workers on duty at the plant suffered from smoke inhalation and sustained minor injuries.
It was learned that after receiving initial treatment at Alpu State Hospital, the injured were transferred to City Hospital, Yunus Emre State Hospital, and Eskişehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Medicine Hospital in the city center of Eskişehir. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
