Explosive allegations against Mehmet Akif Ersoy from former Habertürk anchor Nur Köşker! 'There is a very long-term harassment process'

Habertürk TV Editor-in-Chief Mehmet Akif Ersoy was detained on December 9, 2025, as part of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

In the referral document prepared by the prosecutor's office regarding Mehmet Akif Ersoy, Mustafa Manaz, Ufuk Tetik, and Ebru Gülan, the accusations directed at the suspects included 'providing a place and opportunity for the use of narcotic substances in their own residences,' 'supplying narcotic substances to women coming to the house,' 'engaging in sexual intercourse with more than two people,' and 'providing sectoral and financial benefits to themselves and their circle by involving women in their circle in such relationships.'

EXPLOSIVE ALLEGATIONS FROM FORMER HABERTÜRK ANCHOR NUR KÖŞKER

While Ersoy and the other three individuals were arrested and sent to prison, striking statements came from Nur Köşker, who had worked as an on-screen face at Habertürk before resigning and leaving Turkey.

In her statement to Tarkan Kaleli, Köşker stated that she was subjected to harassment by Ersoy for a long time and used the following expressions:

“There is a harassment process that started during the time I was married and lasted for a very long time. Like holding the elevator door and things like that. Then there are the absurd messages he sent.

Like, 'Get in front of the LED screen during the morning bulletin. Let me see your legs. They hid them behind the desk,' and so on. Can there be such an editor-in-chief? And finally, the real bombshell part. He had threatened to remove me from the screen by saying, 'You will sit at the desk and write news.'

I don't have any evidence regarding this place. If I had known he would say that, I would definitely have entered that room while recording audio. Afterwards, I said, 'I understand you. Let's solve it this way. I will resign and leave,' and that's how I left.

Then I was unemployed for a year because of that idiot. I went through the most difficult period of my life. I mean, I had started there as a night anchor. Then they gave me the weekend main news. Mostly in the summer.

So, I had to resign at a time when I was at the peak of my career in my own opinion. Finally, I said, 'I guess it won't work in this country,' and left the country. I changed continents because of that man.”

Köşker later explained in a statement on her social media account why she had not spoken about this process until today with the following words:

"Everyone asks why you stayed silent until now. First, I would like to clarify this.

First, I never felt safe. He was a dark, deep man whom we saw never faced any consequences regardless of what he did.

Second, I was married at that time. I had a family and a husband I had to protect. It was impossible for me to mention this situation to anyone. Let's come to what happened.

There was a harassment process that had been going on for a long time. As soon as he was appointed as editor-in-chief, he started threatening to remove me from the screen. In the end, because he said, 'Either it happens this way, or you will sit at the desk and write news,' I resigned and left the channel.

If I had known he would say that sentence to me that day, I would definitely have entered that room by starting the voice recording on my phone.

Afterwards, I told everyone, 'He wanted me to do editing, and I didn't accept it. That's why I left the job.' When the issue became public knowledge outside of me, I slowly started to tell my close circle about this situation.

Can there be an Editor-in-Chief who sends a message at 5 in the morning saying, 'They hid your figure behind the desk, tell the director to move you in front of the LED'? I am writing this with shame, as he himself was not ashamed. When he sent this message, I was wearing a skirt. That was the reason he wanted me to move in front of the LED."
