Explosive remarks about Osman Sınav from Kurtlar Vadisi's 'Ömer Baba'! He slams the Şaşmaz brothers

While the investigation into the death of former MIT official Kaşif Kozinoğlu in prison continues, the series Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu has also come to the agenda within the scope of the file. It was stated that the series' screenwriters Raci Şaşmaz, Bahadır Özdener, and Cüneyt Aysan had provided statements to the prosecutor's office in the capacity of “persons with knowledge” as part of the investigation. The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office also announced that a decision had been made to examine the series.

"THE SCRIPT GRADUALLY DETERIORATED AFTER Osman Sınav"

Emin Olcay, who brought the character of Ömer Baba to life in the series, made statements to Sabah Newspaper.

Regarding the change in the series after its initial period, Olcay said, "After Osman Sınav, the series began to turn into politics. We started heading toward certain unknown places in Turkey. This increased gradually. Noticeably. The script gradually deteriorated."

Stating that he sometimes doubted the source of some information used in the series, Olcay said, "I tried to talk a few times, but they didn't answer, so I kept quiet."

Olcay continued his words as follows:

"I mean, I was suspicious; I sometimes wondered where they knew these things from if they weren't getting this information from someone. I thought that something was coming from somewhere, which is why they were writing it."

"I WAS VERY SURPRISED WHEN I READ THE SCRIPT"

Explaining that some characters and topics in the series' scripts surprised him, Olcay drew attention to the inclusion of characters like Yeşil and the President in the script.

Stating that the episode scripts were delivered to him before filming during that period, Olcay said:

"The episode script would come to me before the episode was filmed. I was very surprised when I read it. I mean, what was the need for Yeşil to enter the series? Why did Yeşil enter? Then why did the President enter the script? Why did these enter? And there were things we didn't understand. Also, I directed the plays staged at the War Academy every year for four years. This means that at least three months of my year were spent at the War Academy.

During the Ergenekon period, I was hearing about how FETÖ set traps for some of my students and what they were doing. Because of this, this transformation in the series bothered me a lot. Even if I warned them, the Racis wouldn't listen because they were very arrogant. Their egos were very high. I already wanted to leave the series, but they kept making promises to keep me from leaving.

But they never kept the promises they made... And after Osman, the series had become like watching a James Bond movie. British agent types, KGB types, FBI types were constantly entering and leaving the series. It didn't suit our country like this... Of course, Polat Alemdar was becoming a hero saving the homeland this way."

"I AM VERY HURT BY THEM"

Olcay also made evaluations regarding the series' producers, the brothers Raci Şaşmaz and Necati Şaşmaz.

Expressing his criticisms of the Şaşmaz brothers, Olcay said, "I am very hurt by them. They are not people like their fathers or grandfathers. They are not good, honest, decent men. When they entered the construction business, the employees at Pana Film also lost a lot of money. They swindled a lot of money out of them to become property owners. Now they are in court."

Expressing that he also experienced problems during the time he worked on the series, Olcay spoke as follows:

"They did wrong things to me too. I played a role for 12 years. I worked for very low fees per episode compared to the market. My students from the theater were also acting there. They were giving them more than me. Whenever I talked to Raci about money, he would say, 'We are in a very bad situation.' They did the same to my wife. My wife, Hayat Olcay, was already playing 'Elif's mother.' After 'Elif' died, they didn't remove her from the series, but they weren't writing scenes either. My wife had to turn down offers that came during that time. I was being mobbed on set. I guess they saw me as a second-class person."

"WHATEVER THE TRUTH IS, LET IT COME OUT"

When asked about his views on the FETÖ investigation into the Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu series, Olcay said he supports the conduct of the investigation.

Olcay said, "I find the opening of an investigation very correct. Whatever the truth is, let it come out. If they did wrong things, let them pay the price; if they didn't do anything wrong, they will be cleared of this situation. I hope they will be clean in their future lives because these are young people and they have days ahead of them to live. May God open their path."
