Expulsion decisions announced: Ali Mahir Başarır was not even granted the right to appeal

While management disputes continue in the CHP following the absolute nullity decision, a new development has occurred with the delivery of notifications regarding the deputies referred to the disciplinary board with a request for expulsion.

It has been learned that the decisions were sent to the 9 CHP deputies referred to the disciplinary board by the Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu administration. Following the decisions, some deputies made statements on their social media accounts.

BAŞARIR SHARED THE DECISION ON SOCIAL MEDIA

CHP Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır published the decision sent to him and the decision sent to CHP Malatya Deputy Veli Ağbaba on his social media account.

Evaluating the statements contained in the shared documents, Başarır said that a different procedure was applied to him.

"A COUP AGAINST MY COLLEAGUES, A SPECIAL COUP AGAINST ME"

Ali Mahir Başarır argued that the decision sent to Veli Ağbaba in the documents he published stated that there was a right to appeal within three days, while such a statement was not included in the document sent to him.

In his post on the subject, Başarır used the expressions, "A coup against my colleagues, a special coup against me! They didn't even give me the right to appeal."

APPEAL PERIOD INCLUDED IN VELI AĞBABA'S DECISION

In the documents shared on social media, it was seen that the notification sent to Veli Ağbaba stated that an appeal could be made against the decision within three days.

Following this situation, Başarır's statement that the same right was not granted in the notification sent to him brought the discussions within the party back to the agenda.

MESSAGE OF SUPPORT FROM BURHANETTIN BULUT

CHP Deputy Chairman Burhanettin Bulut, one of the names referred to the disciplinary board with a request for expulsion, also made a post on the subject.

Tagging Gökhan Günaydın and Ali Mahir Başarır, whom he stated were elected group deputy chairmen, Bulut said, "How happy is the one who can stand in the right place in crooked times!"

Following the notification of the decision to him, CHP Malatya Deputy Veli Ağbaba also made a statement on his social media account.

Listing the duties he undertook in the party, Ağbaba recalled that he had held many positions starting from the youth branches, including provincial chairmanship, high disciplinary board membership, and deputyship.

Ağbaba used the following expressions in his statement:

"I have dedicated my entire life to my party and Malatya since my youth. I have never been the voice of anyone, but the voice of the people."

"WHAT IS OUR CRIME?"

Continuing his statement, Ağbaba reacted to the disciplinary process and made the following assessments:

"What is our crime? Making the Republican People's Party Turkey's leading party again after 47 years? Saying 'It's time for change' at the 38th Ordinary Congress by listening to the voice of the nation, the street, and the millions who want change?"
