The Istanbul 45th Civil Court of First Instance stated that the Istanbul Provincial Congress, which the Republican People's Party planned to hold on October 19, should be halted. Emphasizing that the previously issued injunction had not been lifted or modified by the Istanbul Regional Court of Justice, the court stated that holding the congress would be in violation of the court's decision.

The Sarıyer 1st District Election Board Presidency brought this situation to the agenda of the Supreme Election Council (YSK) and requested an opinion from the YSK on whether the congress could be held. The YSK will meet at 14:00 to evaluate the issue.

A similar situation had occurred in the past. The Istanbul 45th Civil Court of First Instance had requested the suspension of the CHP's Extraordinary Istanbul Provincial Congress last month. However, this request was forwarded to the YSK, and the Council decided on September 24 that the congress should proceed. In light of these developments, the decision to be made by the YSK is awaited with curiosity.
