Factory fire in Tekirdağ! Extinguished after 20 hours of intervention
A fire that broke out at a leather factory in the Çerkezköy district of Tekirdağ has been brought under control after a 20-hour intervention. Two workers and one firefighter affected by smoke inhalation were taken to the hospital.

The fire, which was brought under control at midnight 9 hours after it started, was completely extinguished in the morning hours as a result of the intensive efforts of approximately 20 fire trucks from the Tekirdağ Metropolitan Municipality and the Çerkezköy Organized Industrial Zone, 2 water cannon vehicles (TOMA) from the Provincial Security Directorate, and 2 AFAD teams. Cooling efforts continued after the fire was extinguished.
EXTINGUISHED AFTER 20 HOURS
Firefighting efforts were completed after 20 hours of work by the teams.
Yesterday afternoon, employees at the leather factory in the Çerkezköy Organized Industrial Zone reported the fire to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Fire, police, and 112 Emergency Health teams were dispatched to the area to intervene in the fire.
The factory was closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic, and citizens were removed from the area as a precaution.
Two workers affected by smoke and one firefighter who was slightly injured after falling from a height were taken to Çerkezköy State Hospital by medical teams.
