An investigation has been launched against Osmanoğlu on charges of "forgery of official documents" for allegedly attempting to arrange a fake diploma. In a letter sent to the prosecutor's office by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), it was stated that Osmanoğlu has no graduation or student record.
According to the report by Halktv.com, audits conducted by YÖK revealed that Osmanoğlu had prepared fake documents to obtain a bachelor's degree from the Department of History at Inönü University's Faculty of Science and Letters. According to the investigation file, the diploma forgery process was attempted using a fake electronic signature created in the name of S.D., the Head of the Student Affairs Department at Inönü University.
The information for the illegally created graduation record was also entered into the YÖK system. However, the irregularity was discovered during an audit.
OSMANOĞLU'S FILE SEPARATED AND PLACED UNDER SPECIAL REVIEW
In the official letter submitted by YÖK to the prosecutor's office, it was clearly stated that Abdülhamid Kayıhan Osmanoğlu has no record or graduation information at Inönü University or any other higher education institution. Furthermore, it was determined that Osmanoğlu had repeatedly performed graduation inquiries through the system using a phone number registered in his own name.
Within the scope of the ongoing judicial process, Osmanoğlu's file has been separated from those of other suspects and placed under special review.
HE WILL FACE TRIAL OVER ATTEMPTED FAKE HISTORY DIPLOMA
In addition to the investigation, the statements in the biography on Osmanoğlu's personal website also drew attention. Claiming to be "one of the most victimized by the false history written to be told incorrectly," Osmanoğlu alleges that he was "punished with bad grades" for not adopting this approach in history classes. The same person will now face trial over an attempt to obtain a fake history diploma.
