'Fake MIT agent' operation in Samsun: 3 suspects include a village head and 2 former expert sergeants

In the Vezirköprü district of Samsun, 3 individuals—including a village head and 2 former expert sergeants—who posed as MIT agents and presidential officials were apprehended as part of an investigation conducted by the Vezirköprü Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

According to the information obtained, during the investigation carried out by the Vezirköprü Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, teams from the Vezirköprü District Police Department identified 3 individuals who had defrauded 13 people out of 5 million TL by posing as MIT personnel and presidential officials, promising them employment as public servants in various state institutions and the acquisition of gun licenses.

Following the statements taken from the victims by the Vezirköprü District Police Department teams, the 3 suspects were apprehended and taken into custody as part of the investigation. The suspects, who were referred to the courthouse after their statements at the police station, were arrested by the duty magistrate and sent to the Vezirköprü M-Type Closed Penal Execution Institution.

The number of victims is expected to increase as the investigation continues.
