'Fake press card' tension at IMM trial: Detention order issued

The Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched a new investigation regarding the sharing of footage and photos from the hearing on social media. An individual who entered the IMM trial held at the Marmara Penal Execution Institutions Silivri Campus using a 'fake press card' recorded footage and shared it on social media.
The Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has initiated an ex officio investigation into the matter for the crime of 'recording audio and images'.
Instructions were given to the Istanbul Provincial Police Department's Cyber Crimes Branch to identify the suspects. It was determined that the individual who entered the courtroom with a fake press card and shared the footage was E.Y.T.
In a statement regarding the matter, the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office said, "A detention, search, and seizure order has been issued for E.Y.T., who was understood to have entered the hearings held at the Istanbul 40th High Criminal Court in the No. 1 courtroom at the Marmara Penal Execution Institutions using a fake press card to follow the proceedings and shared the footage they recorded on their social media account."
