Families of students who were detained in home raids and subsequently arrested after participating in protests following the arrest of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and his colleagues have formed the Mother and Father Solidarity Network.

The families have come together against the unlawful deprivation of liberty of young people who were exercising their constitutional rights and taking ownership of their future. The families, who have united under the name "Mother and Father Solidarity Network," are demanding freedom for their children.

In their first post on the social media accounts they have opened, the families used the following expressions:

"As the mothers and fathers of our children who have been arrested and detained, we stand by our children. We will remain in solidarity until all our children are free. They are our future."
