Family killed after being crushed by truck was on their way to iftar

It has been learned that the family of 4 who lost their lives after being crushed by a truck that overturned on top of them in Bakırköy were on their way to a social facility for iftar.

The truck driven by Mehmet Fettahoğlu, which was traveling on Rauf Orbay Street in the Yeşilyurt neighborhood of Istanbul's Bakırköy district, struck a low bridge. As a result of the impact, the truck's trailer overturned onto the car.

While the family of 4 in the vehicle lost their lives in the accident, the truck driver was taken into custody.

It was learned that those who lost their lives in the accident were Recep Aytekin, Güler Aytekin, Sultan Aytekin, and Merve Aytekin.

It was also learned that the family was heading to the Florya Social Facilities for iftar and that they were originally from Çankırı.
