Family tragedy in Hakkari: Specialist sergeant shoots wife's family
In an armed attack that took place in the morning in the Şemdinli district of Hakkari, a specialist sergeant shot and killed four members of his wife's family at his father-in-law's house. The bodies were sent to Van for autopsy.

Residents of the Beşevler neighborhood witnessed a tragic incident that occurred in the morning hours. Specialist Sergeant M.G., who is registered to the Aktütün village, allegedly arrived at his father-in-law's house and, for reasons yet to be determined, opened fire on his wife G.G., his mother-in-law H.D., his brother-in-law G.D., and his sister-in-law D.D. who were in the house. While the four individuals lost their lives at the scene, M.G. attempted suicide following the attack.
Following the incident, security forces and medical teams were dispatched to the area in a short time. After initial examinations at the Şemdinli State Hospital, the bodies of the deceased were sent to the Van Forensic Medicine Institute for a detailed autopsy.
While security measures were increased in front of the hospital following the attack, it was reported that M.G., who is known to be a father of three, remains in critical condition and is continuing to receive treatment.
