Father who made his daughter dance on TikTok to collect money detained: Child taken into state protection

The Ministry of Family and Social Services has issued a statement regarding reports titled 'Father who tried to make money by making his daughter dance on a TikTok broadcast ignored reactions.'

The statement issued by the Ministry included the following remarks:

"Following the identification of the address by security units regarding the footage in question, our provincial directorate teams took immediate action. The child featured in the footage has been taken into state protection following health checks. A psychosocial support process for our child has been initiated by our expert teams. The individual in question has been detained by security units. As a Ministry, we will intervene in the legal process and continue to follow the proceedings meticulously to ensure the individual receives the necessary punishment."
