Fatih Altaylı announces return, saying 'I owe a debt to the youth': 'I will do this for them'

Journalist Fatih Altaylı has announced that he will return to his daily agenda evaluations on YouTube at the end of the summer.

Altaylı, who was investigated and detained last year on charges of "threatening the President" due to a speech on his YouTube program, had taken a break from his broadcasts after his release from prison.

In an article published on his website today, Altaylı announced that he would return to the screen at the end of the summer, saying, "Because I owe a debt to the youth. I will do this for them."

"I check social media once or twice a day. I don't enjoy it, but it's impossible not to; it's now a part of our job.

I constantly encounter mostly positive reactions from viewers regarding the programs I make. Those who say, 'Brother, you said it so well,' 'Mr. Fatih, your commentary is wonderful,' 'Brother, no one else makes such accurate comments. No one has the courage,' are in the majority, but of course, there are negative criticisms as well.

The subject is Kılıçdaroğlu and my statements and words regarding Kılıçdaroğlu. However, the problem is that none of these words are new, they were not said recently.

They are words said and programs made three years ago, two years ago, or a year ago. Yes, I am criticizing the person who was placed at the head of the CHP with a nullity decision, but those programs were filmed long before that decision, months or even years ago.

Don't get me wrong, I don't mean to say that I don't stand behind what I said back then or that I don't think that way today. Whatever I said back then, I stand behind those words today, and I even think I said too little, but those words are not new, those programs are not new.

So what I mean is, there are those who are angry at me for not doing programs this summer, who criticize me, and who say, 'Come on, start already.' But I see that there is no need for me to do so. Whatever needed to be said this summer, I have already said it long ago. But don't worry. I will start my daily commentary programs again at the end of the summer. Because I owe a debt to the youth. I will do this for them."
