According to the poll Altaylı shared with his followers, when asked who they would vote for in a choice between Ekrem İmamoğlu and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, 77 percent of the participants chose İmamoğlu, while 23 percent chose Erdoğan.
In another question in the post made by Altaylı regarding the preference between Mansur Yavaş and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for the presidency, it was notable that Mansur Yavaş received 86 percent of the votes, while Erdoğan remained at 14 percent.
In the final question of journalist Fatih Altaylı's social media poll, the preference between Ekrem İmamoğlu and Mansur Yavaş was asked. 48 percent of those who voted in the poll preferred Ekrem İmamoğlu, while 58 percent preferred Mansur Yavaş.

On the other hand, while the political agenda remains active regarding presidential candidacy, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu applied for the primary election on February 22, 2025, where the main opposition Republican People's Party will determine its presidential candidate.
Publishing a statement on his social media account X following the application, İmamoğlu stated, "By taking the first step of a new beginning today, I have made my official application to be the Presidential Candidate of the Republican People's Party, of which I am honored to be a member."
