The body of 8-year-old Narin Güran, who went missing on August 21, 2025, after attending a Quran course in Diyarbakır, was found 19 days later. Following the Narin Güran murder, many questions and debates remain on the agenda. A new addition to these debates came from journalist Fatih Altaylı. Altaylı leveled a significant criticism based on the statements made by AKP Diyarbakır MP Galip Ensarioğlu regarding the murder.

GALİP ENSARİOĞLU'S CONTROVERSIAL STATEMENT

AKP member Galip Ensarioğlu had made a statement regarding the murder, saying, "There are things we know that we should not say because Narin's family are our friends, not everyone is guilty." These statements by Ensarioğlu caused a great stir in public opinion and raised allegations that he was hiding information he knew about the murder.

QUESTIONS FROM Fatih Altaylı THAT LEFT A MARK ON THE AGENDA

Journalist Fatih Altaylı criticized Ensarioğlu's statements, saying, "He is withholding information, but he does not feel the need to hide that he possesses information." Altaylı pointed out that Ensarioğlu has information about the murder, but the judiciary has not taken any action regarding it. In his column, Altaylı used the following expressions:

"The AKP MP, a powerful and prominent figure in Diyarbakır, clearly possesses quite a bit of information regarding this murder. He is withholding the information, but he does not feel the need to hide that he possesses it. And his name is still not among the dozens of people whose statements have been taken."

WHY DON'T PROSECUTORS ASK?

Altaylı continued his reaction toward Ensarioğlu as follows: "I wonder if any prosecutor will step up and say, 'Mr. Galip, it is understood that you have information about the incident. May we take your statement?' They don't, or they can't. It is clear that the judiciary is afraid even of the shadow of the ruling power. If you are an AKP member, let alone being a suspect in a murder, justice cannot even bring itself to make you a witness!"

In his column, Altaylı stated that instead of providing a statement, Ensarioğlu has remained silent, and that this situation increases suspicions regarding the influence of the ruling party on the judiciary. The journalist criticized the fact that AKP politicians do not receive equal treatment before the law during the judicial process. Altaylı said, "The judiciary does not even ask a single question regarding the murder due to the fear it feels toward AKP figures."
