Journalist Fatih Altaylı drew attention to the loss of value of the retiree bonus, which was increased to 3,000 lira, against the dollar compared to 2018, when the practice began.

Altaylı said, "While the 1,000 TL allowance given to retirees just before the transition to the presidential system was worth 230 US dollars, the 3,000 TL allowance given in the 5th year of the transition to the presidential system amounts to only 95 dollars.
