Fatih Altaylı’s remarks on Kılıçdaroğlu: “He will not give up until he hands Istanbul and Ankara back to the AK Party”

Journalist Fatih Altaylı argued that the purpose of CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu’s “secret” meeting with DEVA’s Istanbul provincial and district chairs was “to warn the central leaderships of parties like the IYI Party and DEVA that ‘your provincial organizations might shift to us,’ and to awaken former table partners in order to distance potential grassroots support from the CHP.”

In his article titled "Kılıçdaroğlu is out to lose Istanbul," Altaylı wrote, “The harsh rhetoric from DEVA’s Yeneroğlu shows that Kılıçdaroğlu has created the effect he wanted. The person sitting in the CHP Chairman’s seat seems like he will not give up until he hands Istanbul and Ankara back to the AK Party. Because he knows exactly how important Istanbul is for the AK Party.”
