Fatih Altaylı reveals: Look who turned out to be Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı's lawyer! 'You all know his sister...'

Journalist Fatih Altaylı included a striking detail in his column regarding the process being conducted against Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı. Altaylı reported that Burak Mengü, the brother of journalist Nevşin Mengü, has taken on Kütahyalı's defense.

Altaylı stated that he received a message from Burak Mengü on his phone following his article titled "backstage and gossip", in which he wrote about operations targeting famous figures.

Reporting that the message Mengü sent him contained the phrases, "I am lawyer Burak Mengü, I am Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı's lawyer. If you are available, can we speak?", Altaylı stated that he had met Mengü in the past during his time in prison.

Altaylı noted that Burak Mengü was with a lawyer who came to visit him, and shared the following information regarding his family:

"I met Burak Mengü while I was in prison. He was with a lawyer who came to visit me. His father, Şahin Mengü, was my lawyer who handled my cases in Ankara while he was working at the Doğan Group. As for his sister, Nevşin Mengü, I assume you all know her."

"MY CLIENT DID NOT BECOME A COOPERATING WITNESS"

Stating that he called Burak Mengü on the phone, Altaylı reported that the issue of whether Kütahyalı had become a cooperating witness within the scope of the investigation came up during the conversation.

According to Altaylı's article, Mengü said that Kütahyalı did not become a cooperating witness. Mengü's statements on the subject are as follows:

"My client did not become a cooperating witness. At least not to my knowledge. When I asked him about this issue, he also says that he is not a cooperating witness or anything of the sort."
