A new development has occurred regarding the health of Fatih Altaylı, who was arrested in June on charges of "threatening the President" and released after spending six months in prison. Altaylı, who came to public attention due to health problems he experienced while in prison, was operated on this morning due to growth in a brain tumor.

Journalist İsmail Saymaz made the statement regarding the matter. Saymaz used the following expressions on Halk TV:

"I wish Fatih a speedy recovery. As of this morning, he has gone into brain surgery. I wanted to share this. He was taken into surgery at 7 o'clock and the operation is ongoing. He has had a benign tumor in his brain for a long time. However, they detected growth in this mass during his prison period. It reached up to 2.5 centimeters and began to put pressure on the brain. For this reason, he was taken into surgery this morning. I asked him, 'What kind of surgery is it, is it a major surgery?' but he replied, 'From the outside, it looks like a simple procedure, I hope it ends quickly.'"
