National volleyball player Ebrar Karakurt responded to Furkan Bölükbaşı, who had shared a photo of the national team after they defeated China 3-2 to reach the Olympic quarterfinals and wrote, "I celebrate the magnificent victory of our Women's Volleyball team, excluding the provocateur named Ebrar Karakurt," by asking, "Friends, who is this 'lavuk'?"

While Karakurt's post received thousands of likes, a reaction also came from journalist Fatih Altaylı.

'WE ARE PAYING FOR THE DOCTORAL STUDIES OF ATATÜRKIST GENERATIONS WITH HIS MONEY'

Stating that Bölükbaşı has also insulted him, Altaylı noted the following:

"There is a man, some kind of head of something, I refrain from even saying his name. He said to her, 'who is this lavuk'.

She shouldn't tire her head or try to learn who he is, there is no need, but I know. The person Ebrar asked 'who is this lavuk' also frequently insults me. I ask him to continue doing so. Nothing happens to me when he does it, but it benefits education.

I sue him for it. Every time I sue, he comes with a request for a settlement. As they say, 'some give money, some give prayers,' we take his money and deposit it into the Teke Tek Science fund at the Association for Supporting Contemporary Life (ÇYDD), which they are obsessed with. With his money, we are paying for the doctoral studies of young Atatürkist children and generations. Let him continue to insult me, and we will continue to educate children with his money."
