Fatih Erbakan calls for early elections and targets CHP

New Welfare Party (YRP) Chairman Fatih Erbakan held a press conference at his party's headquarters.

Making statements regarding the current agenda, Erbakan noted that party delegations had visited provinces affected by the February 6 earthquakes, stating that 650,000 citizens are still living in container cities and that authorities must resolve this issue as soon as possible.

REACTION TO GOVERNMENT AND OPPOSITION OVER FIRE DISASTER

Speaking about the fire disaster at the Bolu Kartalkaya Ski Center, in which 78 citizens lost their lives, Erbakan reacted to the dispute over jurisdiction between the government and the opposition. Stating that officials are busy blaming each other, Erbakan emphasized that in addition to the hotel owner, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the municipality, and the provincial special administration also bear responsibility.

"MINIMUM WAGE EARNERS AND RETIREES ARE ONCE AGAIN LEFT WITH A FIGHT FOR SURVIVAL"

Expressing that the country's real agenda is the struggle for livelihood, Erbakan said that 45 percent of the public is living below the hunger threshold and 80 percent below the poverty line.

Emphasizing that the income of millions of minimum wage earners has fallen below the hunger threshold following the inflation figures announced by TUIK, Erbakan said, "The meager raise they gave has unfortunately flown away before even a month has passed. In 2025, the minimum wage earners and retirees are once again left with a struggle for life, hardship, and a fight for survival."

CALLED FOR EARLY ELECTIONS, TARGETED CHP

Fatih Erbakan demanded that early elections be held as soon as possible and stated the following:

"The point they have brought the economy to is clear. The period before Mr. Mehmet Şimşek and the period of Mr. Mehmet Şimşek are clear, so what shall we do? Shall we go to the CHP? No. It has never been seen that the economy improved or that abundance and prosperity were experienced in any period when the CHP was in power in this country. Therefore, since it is clear that no good will come from either the CHP or the current government, if early elections are held, this noble nation will use its wisdom and bring the New Welfare Party to power."

"THE MAIN GOAL IS TO OCCUPY GAZA"

Erbakan stated that with the ceasefire achieved following the genocide Israel has carried out in Gaza for 471 days, the picture has become clearly revealed.

Criticizing the press conference held by US President Donald Trump with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Erbakan continued:

"Even though Trump talks about Greenland and Mexico, his real goal is the realization of the 'Greater Israel' plan, and his real goal is the occupation of the lands they define as the Promised Land. Panama, Greenland, these are all just distractions. While talking about the occupation of Panama, the real goal is to occupy Gaza. While talking about the Gulf of Mexico, the real goal is to turn the Gaza Strip into an Israeli coastline. While talking about the occupation of Greenland, the real purpose is to settle Jewish settlers and Zionist occupiers on the lands that have been the home of Palestinians for thousands of years."
