Fatih Erbakan criticizes the government for 'stepchild' treatment: To everyone, whether they voted or not

New Welfare Party Leader Fatih Erbakan attended the opening ceremony of 18 parks and 5 neighborhood sports fields completed by Karaköprü Municipality.

Erbakan was accompanied by Karaköprü Mayor Nihat Çiftçi, Provincial Chairman Ahmet Yetimoğlu, party management, and his party's mayors. 

In his speech, Karaköprü Mayor Nihat Çiftçi said that they are striving to deliver services equally to every citizen without wasting the municipality's resources. Çiftçi stated, 'The machinery and labor entrusted to us are the trust of the 312 thousand people of our Karaköprü. We go to sleep and wake up with this day and night,' he said.

'DESPITE THE STEPCHILD TREATMENT...'

Fatih Erbakan, who distributed soccer balls to children in the area and took souvenir photos with citizens, said the following:

'Şanlıurfa is a city that has been acquainted with National View (Milli Görüş) municipalism since 1984. It is known as the fortress and center of the National View. It is a city that has proven this characteristic once again with the support it gave to our New Welfare Party and the National View in the latest 2024 elections. Therefore, it deserves every kind of service, appreciation, and compliment. Ethical municipalism means morality and spirituality first.

It is a type of municipalism where there is no bribery, corruption, or theft; where we are more sensitive when spending from the municipal budget than we are when spending from our own pockets. It is a budget approach where there is no waste, luxury, or ostentation; where savings and resource packages are prioritized instead of debt and interest budgets. Ethical municipalism is to provide services fairly to everyone, whether they voted for us or not.

Despite all the obstacles and restrictions, and despite being subjected to stepchild treatment by the government simply because it is a New Welfare Party municipality, I express that I owe a debt of gratitude to our municipality, Karaköprü Municipality, and our esteemed mayor, who produce services without creating excuses or hiding behind them.'
