Fatih Portakal's much-discussed post about Kılıçdaroğlu, who lost the election in CHP

Journalist Fatih Portakal commented on Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who lost the chairmanship election at the 38th Ordinary Congress of the CHP, saying, "The phrase 'Bye bye Kemal' has come true. The name Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu has taken its place in Turkey's political history in the 'perpetual losers' section as a case study from which lessons should be learned."

The first day of the Republican People's Party's (CHP) 38th Ordinary Congress was marked by the excitement of the chairmanship election. 

Özgür Özel, the candidate of the change-makers who led the first round, was elected as the 8th chairman of the CHP by receiving 812 votes in the second round. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, on the other hand, was able to receive 536 votes.

As the Kılıçdaroğlu era in the CHP came to an end, congratulatory messages poured in for Özgür Özel.

Journalist Fatih Portakal evaluated the CHP congress with a post he shared on his X account.

Portakal used the following expressions;

It had entered the political lexicon; some saw it as a joke, others were angered by it. 

“Bye bye Kemal” has come true. 

Kılıçdaroğlu first failed to get a mandate from the nation, and now from his party…

A person does to themselves what they do. Should his departure have been like this? No.  

Kılıçdaroğlu brought about his own end in politics, together with those around him.
