Fatih Yaşlı evaluates the TUSAŞ attack: Events are unfolding exactly in line with the process

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that a large-scale investigation has been launched into the incident. Academic Fatih Yaşlı stated that the timing of the attack is noteworthy, expressing that such events could be carried out to persuade society to accept the process. The fact that the attack occurred following the statement made by MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli regarding Abdullah Öcalan has sparked debate in the public eye.

EVALUATION FROM FATİH YAŞLI

Following the explosion, academic, journalist, and author Fatih Yaşlı made a noteworthy evaluation of the incident on his social media account. Emphasizing the timing of the attack in his statement, Yaşlı used the following expressions:

“Events are unfolding exactly in line with the process. Just as Öcalan has been called to the parliamentary podium by the MHP leader to strengthen the ‘internal front,’ an attack is being carried out on the center of the domestic defense industry in Ankara. These are all just coincidences. Such attacks are often carried out not to sabotage the process, but to persuade society to accept the process. They are done to make people say, ‘Look, we are on the right path, because there are dark forces that want to sabotage the process.’”

 

BAHÇELİ’S STATEMENTS ON THE AGENDA

It was noted that the attack took place one day after MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli’s statement regarding Abdullah Öcalan. In his party’s parliamentary group meeting, referring to PKK terrorist organization leader Öcalan, Bahçeli had used the expressions, “Let him come to the Parliament and speak, let him say that terrorism has ended.” These statements by Bahçeli had drawn widespread reaction from the public.
