EDUCATION SUSPENDED IN 2 DISTRICTS OF KONYA
Due to adverse weather conditions, education has been suspended today for students using bused transportation in the Hadim and Güneysınır districts of Konya.
The statement issued by the Konya Governorate included the following remarks;
"As a preventive measure against potential risks and adverse conditions, and to prevent disruptions in transportation, education has been suspended today for students using bused transportation in primary and secondary schools in the Hadim and Güneysınır districts."
ARE SCHOOLS CLOSED IN NEVŞEHİR?
Due to snowfall across the province of Nevşehir, bused education has been suspended today.
In a written statement from the Governorate, it was noted that snowfall and adverse weather conditions are affecting the entire province.
The statement included the following remarks;
"Education has been suspended for one day on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, for primary, secondary, and special education students who reach our schools from our villages and towns via bused transportation."
SCHOOLS CLOSED IN 2 DISTRICTS OF GİRESUN
Education has been suspended for one day in all schools in the Alucra district of Giresun, and in schools utilizing bused transportation in the Şebinkarahisar district.
In a statement from the Alucra District Governorship, it was noted that education has been suspended at all levels due to the risk of heavy snow and icing.
It was also noted that in Şebinkarahisar, education has been suspended today for schools under the bused education system due to snow, frost, and icing.
ARE SCHOOLS CLOSED IN KAYSERİ, AKSARAY, AND SİVAS?
Although snowfall is affecting Kayseri, Aksaray, and Sivas, no closure announcements have been made yet by the governorates for these provinces.
ARE SCHOOLS CLOSED IN SAMSUN?
Snowfall is affecting the center of Samsun and the higher elevations of the city.
The snowfall, which began in the morning hours, covered the central districts of İlkadım, Atakum, Canik, and Tekkeköy, as well as the higher parts of the city, in white.
No announcement regarding a snow day has been made yet by the Samsun Governorate.
