Femicide in Istanbul: Shot with a handgun

In a residence located in the Kordonboyu neighborhood of Istanbul's Kartal district, contractor Ömer Öktem (47) shot aesthetician Selin Yalın (39) with a handgun. Yalın lost her life at the scene.

In a residence located in the Kordonboyu neighborhood of Istanbul's Kartal district, contractor Ömer Öktem shot and killed aesthetician Selin Yalın with a handgun.

ARRESTED

As a result of the investigation conducted by Istanbul Police Department officers, it was learned that Öktem and Yalın had argued on the day of the incident and that Öktem shot Yalın with a firearm found in his home.

Öktem was arrested by the judicial authorities to whom he was referred on charges of intentional homicide and was delivered to the penal institution.
