Second statement from Fenerbahçe regarding Abdulkadir Selvi: 'Request for correction' to CNN Türk
Hürriyet columnist Abdulkadir Selvi addressed the Fenerbahçe-Galatasaray Super Cup final, which was postponed due to the crisis in Saudi Arabia, in his column titled "Organized like Koç." While responding to Selvi's article, Fenerbahçe also recalled his past column addressed to the FETÖ leader Gülen. Most recently, Fenerbahçe shared a letter sent to Demirören Media TV Group President Murat Yancı, requesting a "correction."

Fenerbahçe stated that legal steps have been initiated due to the claims made by Hürriyet columnist Abdulkadir Selvi regarding the Super Cup, and recalled the article in which Selvi had said, 'Hocam, come back to Turkey now'.
Most recently, Fenerbahçe shared a letter sent to Demirören Media TV Group President Mr. Murat Yancı, requesting a correction.
The letter, signed by Secretary General and Board Member Burak Ç. Kızılhan, stated: "We present to the information and attention of the public the letter we sent to Demirören Media TV Group President Mr. Murat Yancı regarding the claims made by the individual named Abdülkadir Selvi on CNN Türk screens."
The full text of the letter is as follows:
"Dear Mr. Murat YANCI, President of Demirören Media TV Group
We are reaching out to share our discomfort regarding a matter. In the context of the subject of our letter; on the program titled “Akıl Çemberi” (Circle of Reason), broadcast on January 1, 2024, on CNN Türk, where you serve as Group President, and moderated by Fulya Öztürk, a claim was made by Abdülkadir Selvi.
The individual's claim is that our President, Ali Y. Koç, wanted the Super Cup match to be played in Saudi Arabia.
In its official statement on November 29, 2023, regarding the matter, the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) shared with the entire public that the project and authority to play the Turkcell Super Cup abroad belonged to the TFF, and that the claim that the idea of playing the match in Saudi Arabia belonged to Mr. Ali Koç had no connection to reality whatsoever.

Despite there being an official statement on the subject and our sharing of this statement with CNN Türk officials through numerous correspondences during the program, manipulative rhetoric regarding our President Ali Y. Koç continued to be presented in a broadcast watched by millions, and these false claims continued to appear on the lower banner.
These statements by the mentioned commentator carry no meaning other than unfair accusation and imputation.
This attitude and approach have seriously disturbed our Club and the Fenerbahçe fans who follow the broadcast. Indeed, this discomfort has also found reflection on social media platforms.
We request that CNN Türk, which is one of the channels that reaches millions with its broadcasts in our country and which carried the unrealistic claims of the relevant person to its screens, make the necessary correction in line with this sensitivity of our Club."
