Eight years have passed since the FETÖ coup attempt on July 15, 2016.

On the anniversary of the bloody coup attempt, the scene featuring FETÖ ringleader Fethullah Gülen from the 2017 film Kurtlar Vadisi Vatan has become one of the most shared clips on social media.

In the scene set on an airplane, which depicts the night of July 15, the character playing Fethullah Gülen says, "The word is ours now," as he sets off for Istanbul.

The person Gülen is speaking to on the phone says, "It won't be long, esteemed one. You will receive the reward for your efforts. You will be welcomed in Istanbul with the caliphate cloak of Yavuz."
