FETÖ operation in the Police Department: 445 personnel suspended
It has been learned that 63 of the 445 active police personnel suspended due to their connection and affiliation with the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization/Parallel State Structure (FETÖ/PDY), identified through retrospective analysis of digital materials by the General Directorate of Security's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) Department, were from the Istanbul staff.

Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya had announced that 445 active police personnel identified as having connections to the armed terrorist organization FETÖ/PDY had been suspended.
MINISTER YERLIKAYA ANNOUNCED
In a post on his social media account, Minister Yerlikaya stated: “Within the scope of the retrospective work carried out by our General Directorate of Security KOM Department on digital materials; 445 active police personnel identified as having connections and affiliations with FETÖ have been suspended. An administrative investigation has been launched against these individuals.”

It has been learned that 63 of the 445 active police personnel suspended on allegations of connection and affiliation with the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization/Parallel State Structure (FETÖ/PDY), as part of the retrospective work carried out on digital materials by the General Directorate of Security's KOM Department, were from the Istanbul Police Department staff. It was learned that the 63 individuals with FETÖ/PDY affiliations, one of whom holds the position of “deputy commissioner,” were serving in various district police departments and operational branches.
