Fidan met with the Hamas Shura Council Chairman and Political Bureau members

Foreign Minister Fidan held a meeting with Hamas Shura Council Chairman Mohammed Darwish Ismail and members of the Hamas Political Bureau.

In a written statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the meeting, it was stated: “The humanitarian situation in the region, particularly in northern Gaza, was discussed.

Our Minister stated that we will utilize all diplomatic means to mobilize the international community against the humanitarian catastrophe occurring in Gaza.

The meeting also addressed the latest status of negotiations aimed at securing a ceasefire agreement that would enable a hostage/prisoner exchange.

The intra-Palestinian reconciliation process was also evaluated during the meeting. Our Minister expressed his appreciation for the recent meeting held in Cairo, hosted by Egypt. On the occasion of the meeting, our Minister also conveyed his condolences to Hamas officials regarding the martyrdom of Yahya Sinwar.”
