Final meeting on minimum wage today: 'Consultations are ongoing'

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has invited representatives of workers, employers, and the government to the Beştepe Presidential Complex for the third meeting of the Minimum Wage Determination Commission.
Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan, in his statement regarding the minimum wage, said, "Consultations are ongoing; we will make an official announcement once it is finalized."
The process regarding the new minimum wage figure, which directly concerns more than 7 million workers and indirectly affects the entire society, is continuing.
The commission, which held its first two meetings hosted by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, is expected to determine the 2024 minimum wage, with the announcement to be made by President Erdoğan following the meeting.
